How do I install Limit Once?

Install Limit Once from the Shopify App Store. After installation, open the app from your Shopify admin and enable purchase limits for the products you want to restrict. No theme code changes are required.

Does Limit Once work with guest checkout?

Yes. Limit Once is designed to help block matching repeat purchase attempts from guest customers, so shoppers do not need to create or log in to an account for the rule to work.

How does Limit Once identify customers?

Limit Once uses customer information submitted during checkout and compares it with previous orders for the selected products. This helps detect matching repeat purchase attempts even when the customer is not logged in.

Can customers bypass the limit?

Limit Once helps reduce repeat purchases, but no checkout rule can stop every possible workaround. If a customer intentionally uses completely different checkout information, they may be able to place another order.

Does Limit Once work with express checkout?

Limit Once is designed to work during Shopify checkout, including common express checkout flows. We recommend testing your specific checkout setup after installation.

Can I limit only specific products?

Yes. You choose which products have purchase limits. Limits can be turned on or off for each product at any time from the app settings.

Does Limit Once require theme changes?

No. Limits are enforced at checkout through Shopify Checkout Validation. You do not need to edit your theme or add custom code.

What happens if a customer tries to buy a limited product again?

The checkout is blocked with a clear message explaining that the product can only be purchased once per customer.

What pricing plan is available?

Limit Once offers a Solo plan at $3.99/month with a 14-day free trial. There is one plan — no annual billing option.

How many products can I limit?

The Solo plan supports up to 10 products with purchase limits enabled at the same time.

Are development stores charged?

No. Development and Partner stores are not billed for Limit Once.
